If you are concerned about a child or young person’s behaviour, or about their emotional or mental health needs, BEMHs offer help and support.
Parents, carers and children or young people can call directly to ask for help and support. Support is offered for those who have/are:
- Concerns about behaviour, emotional wellbeing or mental health
- Concerns about possible Autistic Spectrum Disorder or ADHD
- Registered with a Nottingham City GP

Autism Team
Children with Autism – Nottingham City Council
The Children with Autism Team support schools to include children and young people with Autism and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. They advise on strategies and resources, and work alongside staff in schools to help meet the needs of children and young people.
There is a named teacher in every City school and the time is allocated in individual need.
